People can be shitty, it's a known fact.
Avoiding these people isn't always easy, sometimes it's obvious who you should keep at a distance, but other times they're unexpected encounters.
The annoying thing is, these interactions are usually brief, yet the rest of your day feels like a write off - you begin to think over what did and didn't happen, what was and wasn't said, and what you should've done in retrospect.

So, how do you prevent shitty situations from potentially ruining your day you ask?
Don't take it personally.
Who knows what's going on in their lives, it could be nothing, but it could be something. Give them the benefit of the doubt, release what you can't control, and don't take it personally.
Remind yourself of all the good.
Take a minute, think about the good stuff, who and what makes your heart full? Your friends, family, the fact that you got a good parking spot, anything. These little reminders can help counteract the negative experience you've had.
Unwind.
Have a beer, have a bath, have a blunt. Try your best to not let 1 minute of strife in your day ruin the other 1139.
